Who’s behind the platform

Two immigrants. Two continents. One shared obsession with building things that actually help people.

Dr. Manish Malhotra

Co-Founder

I stopped studying the system and started building one.

PhD Computer Science, RMIT
Oxford Saïd Business School
London Business School
Founded ATMC Education Group

Manish landed in Australia as an international student from India — and quickly discovered that "finding your feet" isn't just a saying when you're navigating a new country, a new culture, and a university system that assumes you already know where the library is.

He studied Information Technology at RMIT University in Melbourne, then went full nerd and earned a PhD in Computer Science. Somewhere along the way, he stopped just studying the system and started building one.

He founded the ATMC Education Group — a network offering university, vocational, higher education, and professional programs across four countries, employing over 800 staff and serving 7,000+ students.

He later obtained Executive Education from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford and London Business School. He also founded Employability.Life, which was later acquired — proof that good ideas have a way of finding bigger homes.

George Lipinski

Co-Founder

No degree, no connections — just an unreasonable amount of confidence.

George arrived in Australia straight out of high school in Poland — no degree, no connections, just an unreasonable amount of confidence and a knack for spotting problems that needed solving.

His entrepreneurial career started with an unlikely venture: he co-founded Terrarium.com.pl, a niche marketplace for exotic animals — think bird spiders, reptiles, and creatures most people would rather not have as roommates. It became Poland’s largest community for exotic animal enthusiasts.

While still on a student visa in Australia, he founded iStudent Magazine, a publication for international students that quickly became distributed across every vocational, ELICOS college, and university in the country. Fighting for fairness to students since the very beginning, he helped international workers recover unpaid wages. MeStudent was fully acquired by Drake International.

After a break to figure out “what’s next,” George found himself in Thailand, unable to pay freely — a common traveller frustration. So he assembled a team and built the world’s first peer-to-peer payment system, letting travellers from 1,600+ cities pay using PromptPay QR codes. Forbes Magazine wrote about this concept.

Our Origin

Every great company starts with a story

How It Started

Two entrepreneurs walk into a conversation

During a casual chat, Dr. Manish and George’s entrepreneurial minds collided over their favourite topics: international education, building new solutions, and the slightly addictive thrill of helping people turn ideas into reality.

There was one awkward moment. George, realising most attendees were from India, thought he’d use cricket as an icebreaker with Dr. Manish. One small problem: Dr. Manish doesn’t like cricket. At all. Not even a little.

They both laughed, skipped the cricket talk entirely, and bonded over entrepreneurship and stories about building things in Australia instead. Sometimes the best partnerships start with a failed icebreaker.

The Name

How Qualzv got its name

As entrepreneurs, we’re obsessed with startup origin stories — especially the names. Amazon was almost called Abracadabra. Google started life as BackRub. Every great name has a messy beginning.

One night in Delhi, after hours of debating names (and too many cups of chai), we cracked it. We didn’t want to swim in the red ocean of generic recruitment platforms. We wanted the blue ocean — something genuinely new.

QUALZV was born from a few connected ideas: “Qual” for quality and qualification. “Z” honouring Gen Z, the generation redefining how work happens. And the playful twist of flipping CV to ZV — because we’re not building another resume database.

Oh, and a nod to the Sony ZV cameras beloved by vloggers everywhere — fitting for a video-first platform.

“Will we change the name someday? Maybe. But right now, we’re Qualzv — and we think it suits us just fine.”
